PEAB PGA Grand Opening

We are now down in Skåne to play the first tournament of the year on the Swedish Nordea Tour – PEAB PGA Grand Opening at PGA National outside Malmö. We are playing on the Lakes course which I believe is the better one of the two courses.

The winter has been crazy long here in Sweden so they just opened the course last week and it is in decent shape considering the weather. Today it was CRAZY windy and cold so the course played really really long, I hope the wind calms down until Thursday when we begin the tournament.

My long game is feeling pretty good, this season my focus will be a lot on hitting different kind of shots on the course and not try to focus that much on my technique. So far I think its going in the right direction and I like the way I feel over the ball and my misses are also smaller than before. I have two major things I continue to work on technique wise but when I am over the ball its go time! I am also trying to incorporate this way of thinking in my putting since that’s where I have been struggling for some time now which makes me very frustrated. However, I just need to keep working on it and know where I want to go and it will get better and better.

Today it also got official that you now can buy profit shares in me through Trade in Sports website. I will write more about this in a few days and explain how it works and also why I decided to go with this kind of financial strategy. More about this later, now it’s time to focus up on this event and have some fun on the course!

The laser

Good morning!

The weather here in Stockholm is still very cold and we are waiting for the spring to come. Not that much exciting stuff going on right now but I think in a few days more and more driving ranges will open around here. Still practicing indoors due to the cold and also spending some quality time in the gym.
Time for me to get going for yet another training day. One more week here in Stockholm before I head south for the first tournament in Sweden next weekend.

Update!

So I thought it was time to check-in and give you an update on what’s been going on.

After my last event in Morocco where I finished 23^rd I travelled back to Sweden after almost missing our flight since we had some trouble finding the airport in Casablanca (there are not that many signs and the ones they have are in Arabic, and our GPS on the phone didn’t work). Anyway, we got to the airport and the personnel was kind enough to wait for us. Even though it was only 30 min to departure they let us check in and all of our luggage actually made it back to Sweden.

During the events in Morocco my game got better and better. Finished of the two last rounds 70-72 so that was ok. My game from tee to green got better and better but I still have a lot to improve in my short game. I still don’t feel comfortable in my putting and I have so many shots to gain if I can get it right. At least I feel good about my long game which is a great feeling to have.

After Morocco I worked for a few days then headed up to the mountains in Sweden to do some skiing with some friends over Easter.

The plan was to play two events on the Ecco Tour starting next week in Germany but due to the snow they had to cancel the events. This was a bit of a bummer because I was pumped for these two tournaments.

So the plan now is to get ready for start of the Swedish Nordea Tour which is at the end of April down in Skåne. However, the weather in Stockholm is still cold and it will be a while until the courses open so I am stuck inside the dome for a little bit longer. I am also working on some other projects while I am at home so I keep myself occupied.
